I was born into a Muslim family, but when I was a child, my parents chose to follow the teachings of Isa Al-Masih. We started going to a Bible Study Group every Sunday.
Even though my parents said they had changed to follow Isa, they still held onto old beliefs and did not really follow the teachings of Isa in the Injil. It confused me! Of course, I didn't really understand what eternal salvation really meant.
After I got married, my faith in Lord Isa began to disappear. I really didn't know Him. I didn't believe He was my savior or obey His teachings. I still attended the Bible Study Group and tried to agree with the teachings in the Injil, but I failed every time. Even so, I still thought of myself as a very good person.
In 1995, my doctor told me that I have ankylosing spondylitis, which has no cure. I suffered a lot of pain from this disease and it scared me, because if I died, I didn't know if was saved.
In 2002, I read the Holy Scriptures written by Prophet Yahya (John):
“These things I write to you who trust in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.” This message made me decide to accept Lord Isa as the One who saves me, and I invited Him to be Lord of my life.
By faith I recieved Loard Isa AI-MAsih as my personal savior. Since then I can feel His presence in my life. Now I have peace and I am no longer afraid of death.
