Prophet Jesus said to his disciples While in the darkest period because of the coming suffering of Prophet Jesus. Yet Prophet Jesus gave his disciples this encouragement:
“Peace I leave with you. It is my own peace that I give to you. And what we give is not like the giving of the world. Don't let your heart be troubled. And do not be afraid.” (Al-Innjeel Yahya 14:27)
The key word that Prophet Jesus consoled his disciples with was the word “peace.” This peace that Prophet Jesus gave was different from the general happiness that the Dunya world gave. General happiness comes from what happens around us. Because there are things that we are satisfied with. We are happy For example, we like to watch movies. Or like some hobbies? or certain types of food When we make or eat it, we are happy. But if you don't have it, you won't be happy. (In English, Happy, which means happiness, comes from Happen, which means appearance or emergence.) But the peace that Prophet Jesus gave was not the same. Because it is something that comes from within. It is a state of calm and stability in the mind. Even though we are in the midst of problems or misery But we can be confident and have the strength to make it through. without the heart being troubled and not afraid at all So what are the reasons that will bring us true happiness called peace? Let's look again at what Prophet Jesus told his disciples...
“I have told you this. so that in me you may have peace. In this world of dunya you will experience hardship But be of good courage. Because We have conquered the world” (Al-Injeel Yahya 16:33)
Prophet Jesus explains why we can have true peace in life. That is because of what Prophet Jesus has done for us. That is to overcome this world of dunya. By the Prophet Jesus sacrificing His life on the cross. to bear the penalty for humanity's sins He suffered both physical and mental pain. including disease, guilt, addiction, and all sorts of bad things. on His body on the cross. Those who believe in Prophet Jesus will be set free from every sin and evil. This is why we can have true peace. Even though in this world we will encounter hardships. But nothing can keep us from having inner peace. Because Prophet Jesus won victory over various evils. of the Dunya world Let us trust and follow Prophet Jesus to receive this true peace.
