Chapter 4 “Do you want to be healed?”
Jesus went up to Jerusalem to attend the festival of the Jews. By the Sheep Gate in Jerusalem there was a pool of water. In Hebrew the vowel is called Bethesda.
There were five pavilions there. There were many sick people in those pavilions. There lay the blind, the lame, and the paralyzed.
And there… there was a man who had been sick for 38 years!!
When Jesus saw the man lying there and knew that he had been sick for a long time, So he said to him,
"Do you want to be healed?"
The sick man answered him, “Sir, when the water was rippling, No one put me in the pool. And when I went down myself, others went down.

Jesus said to him, “Get up and take up your mat.
Yours, walk away."
Immediately he recovered and picked up his mat and walked away.
