Power in the name of Isa Al-Masīh IV

In the city of Joppa there was a woman of faith named Tabitha, which is called Dorcas in Greek. She used to pay zakat and provide assistance to the poor. At that time this woman was sick to the point of death.

So they bathed her body and placed her body in an upstairs room.

Joppa was near Lydda. When the believers heard that Peter was in Lydda, they sent two men to intercede with him, saying, "Please come with us immediately."

So Peter arose and went with them. When they arrived
They took him up to an upper room. The widows stood beside him weeping and showed him the various clothes that Dorcas had made while he was still alive.

So Peter sent the people outside. and knelt down to pray Then he turned to the corpse and said...

"Tabitha, arise."

Tabitha opened her eyes. When he saw Peter he sat up. Peter stretched out his hand to support her and called the believers and the widows. Then he gave the living woman to them.

The news of this incident spread throughout the city of Joppa. Many people came to believe in God.
