Chapter 6 “We Never Met So Much Faith”
One of the centurion's slaves, whom the master loved very much, was sick and nearly dead when the centurion heard about Jesus. So they sent some of the elders of the Judahites to beg him to come and heal their slaves.
So they went to Jesus and implored him with an earnest heart, saying…
“That centurion is the person you deserve to do this for. Because you love our people and have created a religious gathering place for us.”
So Jesus went with them. When I got there I was almost home. The centurion sent his friends to find him and inform him that...
“Sir, please don't be in trouble. for I am not worthy to receive you under my roof. Therefore I also saw that it was not appropriate to go to you.
Please just order. My slave will be healed. Because I myself am under military authority and have soldiers under me. If I say to this man, 'Come,' he will go. If I say to this man, 'Come,' he will come. If I say to my slave, 'Do this,' he will do it.”
When Jesus heard these words, he was astonished. So he turned around and said to the crowd following him, “…
"We tell you that we have never found such faith as this even in the family of Prophet Ya'qub."
When those sent by the centurion returned home and saw that the slave had completely recovered.
